As a professional blockchain Compliance investigator, you will combine technical expertise, knowledge of computer systems and blockchains, and proven investigative techniques. You will use various tools and methods to trace digital footprints, analyze data, and reconstruct event sequences. Your passion for computing and ability to connect digital footprints with clients’ stories will help corroborate blockchain activities and draft KYC to open bank account.
You already have personal experience tracking blockchain projects, tokenomics, coin distribution, and wallet activity. You are skilled at examining digital evidence using a range of tools.

- Solid understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and how various blockchain networks operate.
- Experience in financial investigations, with a focus in the cryptocurrencies.
- Prior experience in analyzing and investigating blockchain activity for reconciliation is mandatory:
- Advanced research and analytical skills, with the ability to handle large and complex datasets, identify key transactions and insights, and produce detailed reports on critical information.
- Understanding of risk patterns, risk mitigation techniques, and policies that ensure proper client account approval or denial.
- Experience in crypto analytics and research, and familiarity with one or more investigative tools (e.g., TRM Labs, Elliptic, Chainalysis, Lukka, or other AML blockchain solutions).
- Proficiency in using blockchain analytics tools and platforms for transaction analysis.
- You mastering Excel and formulas and/or use Python/jupyter Notebook and/or R to manipulate data.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to pinpoint which questions and documents are required to confirm blockchain activity and address compliance risks.
- Knowledge of Swiss and global regulations and governing bodies (FINMA, FATF, OFAC) is preferred but can be learned if you have solid practical experience in blockchain investigation.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations (ranging from simple to complex) that identify sources of funds and wealth.
- Work with clients’ various backgrounds, including early investors, protocol founders, miners, and traders who often combine DeFi usage with CEX trading.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders—such as the Compliance team, Digital Assets team and relationship managers—to create reports supporting clients’ compliance efforts.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to uncover relationships between wallets, entities, and individuals.
- Proactively identify, build, and manage relationships with industry partners to access new attribution sources.
- Think critically and strategically, looking beyond initial facts to drive investigations to their conclusion.
- Operate independently, manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines, and act with urgency when needed.
