We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Product Manager on a fixed term basis to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our “new to market” industry-leading suite of payment processing value-added services. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our payment's ecosystem, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional customer and business outcomes.

The Senior Product Manager will be highly adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with changing priorities and market conditions, and commercially minded with a focus on delivering business value.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payments value-added services like fraud prevention, real-time payments, open banking, digital wallets, and more
  • Conducting in-depth market research, gather customer insights, and analyse industry trends to identify new product opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
  • Ensuring all VAS products are commercially viable and technically feasible
  • Translating product strategy into detailed requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, finance, marketing, and vendor partners, to align on product goals, priorities, and ensure seamless execution

Product Development and Commercialization

  • Managing the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Working closely with sales, marketing, and business development teams to develop go-to-market strategies and drive product adoption
  • Working closely with finance to track shadow p/l performance of each product
  • Managing vendor product relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions into our product offering
  • Helping and influencing prioritization of tech investments
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including payment schemes, regulators, and third-party vendors, to ensure compliance and alignment

Product Performance and Optimization

  • Monitoring product financial & performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization
  • Conducting user research, and data analysis to enhance (or influence vendor roadmap) product features and deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Collaborating with risk & compliance, infosec, scheme partnership teams to ensure secure and compliant payment solutions
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of product management methodologies and processes i.e. MVP, lean, scaled agile etc
  • Experience in cards processing, wider payments or financial services industry
  • Deep understanding of commercialisation strategies, vendor management and partner ecosystems
  • Proven experience of successfully launching and commercialising innovative products and services
  • Technical understanding and experience working with development teams and agile/feature driven development methodologies
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, market trends, and business objectives, and translate into specific requirements that guide the product development process; assuring the final product aligns with the overall strategy and commercial objectives
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong data analysis skills – The ability to gather, interpret, and make data-driven decisions based on product metrics and analysis
  • The ability to communicate product strategy, roadmaps and updates to senior leadership, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

Additional Information For The Senior Product Manager Position

We employ a hybrid working model so you would be required to work from the London office at least three days per week. Thredd operates in a secure environment and all candidates will be credit and background checked to the extent permitted by law.
