Global venture investment in fintech grew by 11% to US$17.4 billion in 2016, according to data provided by PitchBook, highlighting the craze for the sector. Notably, traditional firms are actively exploring and investing in emerging technologies to improve both operations and customer experience.
2016 was a good year for fintech, but 2017 is expected to be even better. Already, a number of events and conferences have been planned this year to showcase the latest developments in the space and bring together industry participants.
