At the Temenos Community Forum 2025 in Madrid, Temenos announced the launch of the Temenos Product Manager Copilot.
This new tool uses generative AI to help banks design, test, launch and refine financial products more efficiently.
The Product Manager Copilot is integrated with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and embedded in the Temenos Retail core banking solution.
It offers a conversational interface that allows product, IT and customer service managers to access core banking functions and data insights.
This is intended to help banks bring retail products to market more quickly and ensure they meet customer needs.
The Copilot is available as part of the advanced and enterprise editions of Temenos’ retail accounts offerings.
Temenos core banking solutions are used by more than 950 banks globally, ranging from large international institutions to smaller regional organisations.
The platform provides a wide range of built-in features and a collection of pre-configured banking products.
With the Copilot, product managers can use built-in agents or connect through Microsoft Teams to develop, test and deploy products.
The tool also enables users to gain insights from core banking data without the need to write complex queries, supporting more informed decision making.
The integration of Azure OpenAI Service allows the Copilot to retrieve insights from a bank’s core data, documentation and regulatory information.
It is designed to be flexible and can work with AI agents already in place or connect to bank-specific data sources.
The Azure platform provides reliability, scalability, security and confidentiality for sensitive customer information.
According to a recent study for Temenos, 75% of banks are currently exploring the use of generative AI, with 36% having either implemented or begun implementation.
Additionally, 73% believe agentic AI will play a transformative role in banking.
Barb Morgan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Temenos, said:

“Temenos Product Manager Copilot unlocks the full innovation potential of Temenos core banking using Generative AI to help banks deliver better products faster to their customers.”
Temenos developed the Product Manager Copilot in collaboration with its Design Partner clients, including Banque Internationale à Luxembourg.
Clare Barclay, Corporate Vice President, Enterprise, Industry and Software Development Partners at Microsoft, said:

“Azure OpenAI integration enables trusted, enterprise-grade AI experiences across industries. Through our collaboration with Temenos, banks can now harness the power of generative AI to accelerate product innovation, enhance customer engagement, and operate with greater agility and intelligence.”
