BVNK and Marqeta have partnered to bring stablecoin-backed card capabilities to crypto-native and mainstream companies.
The integration lets Marqeta’s customers embed US dollar stablecoins into wallets, cards and other financial products.
It also adds round-the-clock settlement alongside traditional fiat rails.
BVNK supplies the infrastructure for Marqeta’s customers to move and manage stablecoins alongside fiat currencies.
Marqeta handles card issuance, acceptance, and bank and network relationships.
The partnership links two companies already inside Mastercard’s network.
Mastercard is one of Marqeta’s major network partners.
BVNK’s stablecoin infrastructure became part of Mastercard after its acquisition of the business in August 2026.
All three companies back Open USD. It is a global standard meant to make stablecoin payments work across different networks and providers.
Marqeta’s customers will gain access to further Mastercard capabilities through the same integration over time.

“By collaborating with Mastercard and BVNK, we’re enabling our customers to issue stablecoin-backed cards that work anywhere cards are accepted,
without requiring merchants to change how they accept payments,”
said Anthony Peculic, Chief Strategy Officer at Marqeta.

“Developers shouldn’t need deep blockchain expertise to use stablecoins any more than they understand card networks today,”
said Chris Harmse, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at BVNK.
