Yesterday SEBA Crypto announced the details of its governing Board of Directors. We figured out one surprise.

Urs Zulauf who worked 30 years for Finma in banking and financial market supervision joins the board. Urs left Finma 2013.

SEBA aims to become one of the world’s first licensed and supervised crypto banks. SEBA will be built from the ground up and the attainment of its ambition will be governed by a Board comprised of:

Amschwand AndreasMr Andreas Amschwand as Chairman is a distinguished banker who played a vital role in the transformation of the global FX market and recently acted as a Board Member for Julius Bär Group;

SEBA has already privately raised CHF 100 million to ignite its ambition to redefine finance for the new economy through the building of a gateway that will facilitate regulated and supervised movement of assets between traditional and crypto markets for major financial investors.

SEBA is in contact with FINMA for the application of a Swiss Banking and Securities Dealer license, which, if granted, would allow SEBA to offer a comprehensive range of banking services to institutional, corporate and individual clients. SEBA is already in the process of building this bridge and recently announced a partnership with Loomis to build the world’s most secure deep cold storage for digital assets and is working with smartTrade Technologies to deliver SEBA’s state-of-the-art crypto and traditional assets trading platform.

Andreas Amschwand, Chairman commented

“SEBA is committed to the development of the sustainable, stable and regulated growth of crypto as an asset class. My fellow Board Directors and I are very excited to be working with Guido Bühler and the powerful SEBA executive team which is an amalgam of banking, security, regulatory, risk and technology specialists. Together we intend to build the bridge between the traditional financial markets and the new digital economy’.
