Mesh has partnered with Visa to let consumers spend crypto and stablecoin balances wherever Visa is accepted.
Once launched, users will be able to pay in stores and online from their existing wallet apps.
Visa’s network spans more than 175 million merchant locations across over 200 countries and territories. In fiscal 2025, it processed US$14.2 trillion in payments volume.
For each participating wallet or platform, Mesh provisions a Visa credential in the background.
Consumers can then pay at a contactless terminal or check out online without first selling, transferring or preloading funds. Merchants receive a standard payment and need no new hardware.
Mesh determines how each transaction is funded and converted across crypto, stablecoin and fiat balances.
The company also acts as programme manager, handling onboarding and KYC.
As a result, platforms can offer Visa spending through a single integration rather than building their own card programme.

“Mesh handles the funding and conversion, so a balance becomes purchasing power at the moment of payment, with nothing for the user to move and nothing for the merchant to change,”
said Bam Azizi, CEO and Co-founder at Mesh.

“Consumers increasingly expect to use their money however and wherever they choose,”
said Rubail Birwadker, Global Head of Growth at Visa.
Launch timing, supported devices and participating platforms are yet to be announced.
