Money20/20 Europe will return to RAI Amsterdam from June 03 to 05, 2025, bringing together the world’s fintech leaders to discuss the future of financial services.
Each year, the event attracts top senior executives from the greatest venture capital (VC) firms, the fastest-growing startups and the largest and most influential businesses across the global money ecosystem to explore what’s next across the world of payments, fintech and financial services.
This year’s edition is expected to gather over 7,500 attendees, including 200+ investors and representatives from more than 120 banks, covering 90% of Europe’s top 20 banks. The three-day conference will focus on key developments in payments, banking, financial services, and emerging technologies, offering sessions, panels, and networking opportunities designed to support business growth and industry collaboration.
Day 1 highlights Money20/20 Europe 2025
Money20/20 Europe 2025 will kick off on June 03, with Money Morning Live, a high-energy opening session which will bring together major voices from the fintech industry for interviews, guest appearances, and raw, unfiltered discussions.
Hosted by Tracey Davies, President of Money20/20; Scarlett Sieber, Chief Strategy Officer of Money20/20; Zachary Anderson Pettet; VP of Fintech Strategy of Money20/20; and moderated by Micky Tesfaye, Money20/20 Content, this segment will spotlight keynote conversations with Mareme Dieng, Partner at 500 Global; Rahul Patil, CTO at Stripe; and David Sandstrom, CMO at Klarna Bank.
The speakers will explore the real-world impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in financial services, from streamlining operations to combating fraud, while Sandstrom will reflect on Klarna’s transformative year.
Following Money Morning Live, the “Putting the Bank Back in Open Banking Payments” panel, held from 10:55 to 11:20 on the Summits Stage, will explore the rise of “pay by bank” solutions. Charles Damen of Token.io, Gerry Davies of Santander, and Lirka Bibezic of BNP Paribas, will discuss how banks are reshaping their role in the evolving open banking ecosystem.
From 11:15 to 11:55 on the MoneyPot Stage, Jim McCarthy of Thredd, will lead a panel called “Card Issuing: From Start-Up to Scale-Up”. The panel, featuring executives from Flagship Advisory, Worldpay, Railsr, and Caxton, will explore key considerations for building and managing successful global card programs, address the growing challenges of regulatory and compliance demands, and share insights into future trends and predictions shaping the industry.
At 13:05, the Summits Stage will host experts including Jochen Papenbrock of NVIDIA, Ali el Hassouni of bunq, and Mathieu Altwegg of Visa. These experts, gathered for the “Is the Financial Services World Ready for Agentic AI?” session, will explore the role of agentic AI in finance, investigating real-world use cases and regulatory considerations.
At 14:15 on the Summits Stage, leaders from Stripe, Swift, AWS, and Starling Bank will share insights on scaling AI beyond pilot projects. The session, titled “The Executive Perspective – AI at Scale” will focus on infrastructure, data organization, and workforce enablement.
Day 2 highlights Money20/20 Europe 2025
Day 2 of Money20/20 Europe 2025 will see fintech’s most dynamic startups and stakeholders delve into the digital wallet war, the evolving regulatory landscape, and the future of digital identity.
At 10:00 on the MoneyPot Stage, Inga Mullins of Fluency, Shachar Bialick of Curve, Samba Natarajan of PayPal, and Dariusz Mazurkiewicz of BLIK, will come together for the “Wallet Wars & Co-opetition: How Europe’s Digital Wallets are Redefining Competition” panel to explore the evolving European digital wallet space. As innovators collide and form new alliances, and as previously unlikely names enter the digital wallets space, these experts will discuss where the market is headed and what it means for consumers and providers.
At 11:10 on the Na.i.ture Stage, Mareme Dieng of 500 Global, Caleb Maru of Tech Safari, and Peter Oriaifo of Moniepoint will discuss Africa’s role in global innovation. In this session, named “Untapped Frontiers: How Africa Is Reshaping Global Innovation”, these experts will break down why the future of fintech, AI, and platform innovation is being written across the continent.
Simultaneously, on the MoneyPot Stage, the “Wealthtech in a Connected and Instant Era” panel will feature leaders from Raisin, Upvest, and PensionBee who will come together to explore how AI and application programming interfaces (APIs) are transforming personal finance, investment access, and wealthtech opportunities. This panel will point out where the opportunity lies in the sector and how to unlock it, while offering pragmatic advice on how to smash through the roadblocks that have stalled progress.
At 14:25 on the Na.i.ture Stage, Evelien Witlox of the European Central Bank (ECB) and Diana Carrasco Vime of the Bank of England, will come together for the “CBDCs in Focus: The Latest on the Digital € / £” fireside chat to discuss the current status and future plans for the digital euro and pound, including technical, political, and regulatory challenges. These experts will explain the bigger picture for Europe’s highest profile ventures into digital currency.
At 15:25 on the MoneyPot Stage, experts from iGrant.io, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, and Visa will assess the upcoming EU Digital ID Wallet. These leaders will convene for the “Is the EU DI wallet a game changer for payments in Europe?” panel to explore the system’s potential role in payments, data privacy, and the competition it will face from private tech. Participants will get to hear from the European Wallet Consortium, which is actively creating and executing the roadmap for Europe’s digital identity scheme.
From 16:00 to 16:30 on the MoneyPot Stage, executives from DNB, AIB, and Hellenic Bank will examine how the Instant Payment Regulation (IPR) is reshaping payments and creating new opportunities across the financial sector. The panel, called “Seize the Moment with Instant Payments”, will discuss the financial ecosystem’s transformation for banks, businesses, and consumers.
Day 3 highlights Money20/20 Europe 2025
The final and third day of Money20/20 2025 will explore topics including strategic marketing, business-to-business (B2B) payments, and partnerships between fintech and traditional institutions.
The “How to Create and Leverage FinBank Partnerships” panel, at 10:20 on the Summits Stage, will see leaders from Barclays, Nium, Fiserv, and Dandelion Payments discuss effective collaboration between banks and fintech startups. These experts will share how to build partnerships that improve customer outcomes and accelerate innovation.
At 10:50 on the MoneyPot Stage, CFOs from Payhawk, Starship, and Dott will convene for the “How will CFOs use AI? Pinpointing Tools and Hires for Growth” panel to explore how finance teams are using AI. The discussion will cover strategic tools, hiring plans, and the broader impact of AI on financial leadership.
The “Multi-Trillion-Dollar B2B Embedded Payments Opportunity” panel, at 11:45 on the Summits Stage, will see Visa and Checkout.com discuss the immense potential of embedded B2B payments. This panel will explore growth strategies and the evolving role of payments in enterprise ecosystems.
From 12:15 to 12:40, the “E-Commerce Evolution: Technology and Payment Strategies that Support Innovation” panel will see J.P. Morgan, Mirakl, Riverty, and Backmarket examine how Europe’s advanced payments infrastructure is supporting e-commerce growth. Participants will get to gain insights into how this infrastructure is driving innovation to meet the evolving needs and benefits for your businesses.
At 13:25 on the Na.i.ture Stage, bunq CEO Ali Niknam will speak about the next phase of growth for neobanks. This session, called “The Neobanks Strike Back”, will lay out the blueprint for neobank success, rather than mere survival, as described by one of the leading figures in the game.
Exclusive programs and networking Money20/20 Europe 2025
In addition to the main conference sessions, Money20/20 Europe 2025 will feature several exclusive programs designed to foster inclusion, shape regulatory dialogue, and recognize innovation across the financial ecosystem.
RiseUp and Amplify, Money20/20’s flagship diversity programs, will return to support underrepresented talent in the fintech industry.
RiseUp is an annual global program that provides women and non-binary individuals with the network, tools and techniques needed to help them strategically advance their career and reach new heights. Since its inception in 2018, RiseUp has supported more than 175 women from around the world.
Amplify was launched in 2021 to support people of color and underrepresented communities in fintech. The program has so far supported over 450 professionals, 60% of whom identify as people of color or Latinx, and 1% with disabilities, through access to tools, mentorship, and professional opportunities.
New for 2025 is Policy Exchange, an exclusive closed-door roundtable series bringing together central banks, regulators, and industry leaders. These experts will convene for three focused roundtable discussions, exploring key regulatory challenges shaping the future of finance.
- The “Crypto and Digital Assets Regulation Post-MiCA” roundtable will focus on consumer protection frameworks, market stability, and anti-illicit activity strategies;
