French fintech company Skarlett has raised €8 million in seed funding to develop its financial services platform aimed at individuals over the age of 60.
The round was led by 115K, the venture capital arm of La Banque Postale, with additional participation from Raise Seed for Good and returning investor Alven, who also contributed to the company’s pre-seed round in 2023.
Founded by Townley Le Guénédal, Benjamin Gaignault, and Aurélien Gouttefarde, Skarlett is focused on addressing the financial needs of older adults, a demographic that comprises nearly one-third of France’s population and remains largely underserved by conventional financial institutions.
The company provides a range of products including tailored health insurance, mortgage and credit options adapted for later-life borrowing, and savings tools such as senior-focused life insurance, offered in partnership with Generali.
With a team of 30, Skarlett intends to use the new funding to expand its portfolio of proprietary financial products and to enhance the personalisation of its services using AI-driven tools.
