JCB, Japan’s international payment brand, has partnered with First Cash Solution, a subsidiary of Germany-based Volksbank eG – Die Gestalterbank, to expand JCB card acceptance across Germany.
The collaboration integrates J/Secure™, enhancing security for e-commerce transactions and providing more payment options for merchants.
The partnership aims to improve fraud prevention and service quality for businesses processing JCB payments, particularly for transactions from Asia.
J/Secure™ has been implemented for First Cash Solution merchants, covering sectors such as accommodation, travel, dining, sports, and lifestyle.
This move introduces First Cash Solution merchants to a wider customer base of 164 million JCB Cardmembers, including a strong presence in Asia.

Previously, SumUp, a London-based global payments service provider, partnered with JCB to enable the acceptance of JCB Cards across its European merchant network.
