Visa has announced the appointment of Antony Cahill as Regional President and Chief Executive Officer for its European operations, pending regulatory approval.
Cahill will succeed Charlotte Hogg, who is departing after eight years at the company to pursue a new external opportunity.
He will be based in London and is expected to assume the role in early June.
Since 2023, Cahill has led Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) division, overseeing the development and delivery of more than 200 products and solutions.
Under his leadership, VAS has grown into a nine billion dollar global business, with annual revenue growth exceeding 20 percent.
He joined Visa in 2018 as Managing Director for Visa Europe and later served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the region, managing client relationships across 38 European markets.
Before joining Visa, Cahill was Chief Operating Officer at National Australia Bank (NAB), where he held several senior positions over eight years.
Prior to that, he spent 12 years with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ).
Visa Chief Executive Officer, Ryan McInerney said,

“We are grateful to Charlotte for all she has done to advance our business in Europe. With Antony’s experience in the region, deep understanding of the diversity and complexity of our markets and strong relationships with our partners, he is uniquely qualified to lead Visa Europe.”
An internal process to identify a successor for Cahill’s current role is underway, with an announcement expected soon.
