Google Wallet now enables parents and guardians in the UK, US, Australia, Spain, and Poland to grant their children access to digital payments on their Android devices with appropriate supervision.
Rolling out over the coming weeks, this update allows children to securely tap to pay in stores and store supported passes, such as event tickets, library cards, and gift cards, all in one convenient place.
Safety and security remain central to the Google Wallet experience, and this update provides parents with tools to manage their child’s Wallet usage.
A child’s payment cards can only be added with parental consent, and parents will receive an email notification whenever their child makes a transaction.
Additionally, parents can easily monitor recent purchases, remove payment cards, and disable access to passes directly through Family Link.
