Mastercard has announced the appointment of Kelly Devine as its new Regional President for Europe.
Devine succeeds Mark Barnett, who, after five years at the helm in Europe, will step into an expanded global role to lead Mastercard’s strategic focus on small business enterprises, a key area of growth for the company.
Devine returns to Mastercard following her tenure as Customer Director at Dunelm, a UK retailer.
Prior to this, she spent nine years at Mastercard, most recently serving as President of the UK and Ireland division.
During that time, she oversaw the company’s leading consumer issuing and merchant partnerships, contributing to strong market expansion.

“We are pleased to welcome Kelly Devine back to Mastercard to continue to drive our business in Europe. She has a proven record of building and enhancing partnerships based on mutual success and shared innovation. We look forward to her expanding on this commitment across the continent,”
said Ling Hai, President for Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe (APEMEA) at Mastercard.
Commenting on her return, Devine said,

“I am excited to return to Mastercard and lead the company’s presence in Europe. Mastercard is an industry leader across the continent because of the strong focus on customers, security, and brand trust, enabling value and choice to consumers and businesses across the region every day.”
Kelly Devine will report directly to Ling Hai and join Mastercard’s Management Committee.
She will be based at the company’s European headquarters in Waterloo, Belgium, with her appointment effective from 1 September 2025.
