Mondu, a Netherlands’ based B2B payments provider, has introduced Pay Now, an account-to-account (A2A) payment option aimed at B2B e-commerce transactions.

This latest offering complements the company’s existing Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) suite, providing business buyers with a secure, real-time checkout method.

According to FF News, the European B2B e-commerce market is undergoing rapid expansion and is expected to reach US$2.2 trillion by 2027, nearly double its value in 2022.

This growth reflects a broader shift towards digital sales and underscores the need for flexible, efficient payment solutions.

As part of this shift, digital B2B payment methods are playing an increasingly important role.

The BNPL market for European B2B transactions is projected to grow at a rate of 27.5% annually, reaching US$256.7 billion by 2029.

Mondu’s Pay Now joins a suite of payment options that also includes invoice payments, instalments, and digital trade accounts, positioning the firm to meet evolving demands in the sector.

The Pay Now feature enables buyers to make direct payments from their bank accounts, providing a secure and straightforward checkout process.

It also allows merchants to serve all buyers, regardless of their eligibility for deferred payment terms.

For merchants, Pay Now offers streamlined integration by removing the need for a separate A2A payment provider.

Mondu manages risk and fraud checks, sends payment confirmations, and handles all buyer communications, reducing the operational burden on sellers.
