TWINT is introducing a range of new features designed to provide additional value and greater flexibility for both merchants and the more than five million users across the country.
With a newly developed business app and expanded payment options, TWINT continues to evolve, reinforcing its commitment to a seamless, secure, and independent digital payment experience.
Over 80 per cent of Swiss merchants now accept TWINT, offering customers the convenience of paying via payment terminals at cash registers, online shops, or TWINT QR code stickers at market stalls and farm shops.
By integrating TWINT into their payment processes, Swiss retailers benefit from an efficient, accessible, and secure digital payment solution without reliance on global technology giants.
To further streamline payment collection for merchants, TWINT is introducing three new functionalities that enhance ease of use and transaction efficiency.
The newly launched TWINT Business Portal app serves as a comprehensive control centre for all TWINT transactions, providing merchants with full oversight of their business at any time and from any location.
The app offers real-time updates on incoming payments via push notifications, ensuring that merchants remain informed of their revenue in real time.
A clear and intuitive interface allows for quick access to key financial data, including store revenue, transaction history, and average transaction values.
Merchants can also assign different roles to employees, enabling team members to receive push notifications and access transaction overviews on multiple devices.
Additional features will be introduced to the TWINT Business Portal app in the coming months, further enhancing its capabilities.
For online merchants, TWINT Express Checkout simplifies and accelerates the purchasing process, making online shopping more seamless for customers.
Users can now save their delivery information securely in their TWINT app under a TWINT ID and share it instantly with merchants when making a purchase.
This eliminates the need for customers to manually enter their details for every transaction, significantly reducing checkout time.
The feature is currently available for merchants using Magento, Shopware, and WooCommerce shop systems.
Additionally, the introduction of the TWINT payment link provides merchants with a convenient way to collect payments through digital channels.
Registered TWINT merchants can generate a payment link via the merchant portal and share it with customers via email, newsletters, or messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.
Customers can then tap the link to complete the payment process directly within the TWINT app.
This function enables businesses to facilitate transactions even if they do not operate a dedicated online shop.
