Scalable Capital and authentication innovator Futurae have announced a partnership to integrate Futurae’s multi-factor authentication portfolio with Scalable Capital’s investment platform. They parties involved expects that the partnership will enable Scalable’s platform to become even easier to use while ensuring the highest level of security.
As part of the collaboration, Futurae’s next-generation authentication technologies will become available in Scalable Capital’s investment platform as an additional security layer. The robo-advisor creates a customized exchange-traded fund (ETF) portfolio for each individual based on an assessment of their risk tolerance and uses its proprietary risk-management technology to regularly monitor and adjust each portfolio. The partnership with Futurae supports Scalable Capital’s mission to set the highest security and usability standard.
Futurae was created by members of the Systems Security Group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich with the goal to make the authentication process both user-friendly and safer for users and organizations.
The company’s authentication suite offers two-factor authentication solutions that require minimal or no user interaction. Their core technology, “Zero-Touch”, uses machine learning algorithms to securely authenticate the user via ambient noise, ultrasound and sensor signal technology, and is complemented by a variety of multi-factor authentication and transaction confirmation technologies.
With the integration of Futurae’s tools, Scalable Capital will introduce innovative multi-factor technologies on the platform, enabling users to securely perform sensitive operations on their mobile phones. In choosing a highly intuitive and secure solution engineered with user experience in mind, it removes having cumbersome codes sent through an SMS message or provided on a physical token.
