Revolut plans to give retail clients exposure to high-growth private technology firms from 2027 through a new unit.
The London-headquartered fintech has incorporated Revolut Ventures, Bloomberg reported.
Formed as a partnership between Revolut Securities Europe UAB and asset-management platform Carne Group, the unit will allow clients to take positions in private companies via the app.
Rolandas Juteika, who leads Revolut’s wealth and trading units in the European Economic Area (EEA), said the company aims to remove one of the final barriers in the industry, namely retail investors’ exclusion from unlisted companies. He added that value is created well before an IPO.
Revolut Ventures is set to debut through a European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF). Carne will run the ELTIF as alternative investment fund manager, with Revolut serving as delegated investment manager.
Alter Domus will act as fund administrator, and BNY as custodian and depositary.
In July, the company began offering other private markets investments to clients in EEA jurisdictions, including France and Spain.
The company is seeking to diversify its income through fee-generating businesses such as wealth management and payments, which can cushion the effect of market volatility.
Fee-based income made up 76% of its sales in 2025. Its wealth segment posted slower revenue growth that year, having expanded rapidly in 2024.
