CTO Craft Con: Fintech is a two-day event for senior technology and engineering leaders from fintechs, banks and regulated platforms.
Attendees will share how they’re navigating AI, compliance, delivery friction, and what it actually takes to ship early.
The event takes place on 2-3 November 2026 at The Minster Building in London.
It’s a chance for technology leaders and innovators to get together under one roof for inspiring talks, thought-provoking discussions and unparalleled networking opportunities.
Participating companies include HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Morgan Stanley, Monzo, Yonder, BlackRock, Amazon, Wise, Xero, Zopa, Funding Circle and more.
What’s on the agenda
The agenda focuses on real issues engineering leaders are dealing with right now. Harry Jell, CTO at Yonder, opens Day 1 with a keynote titled “Borrowing from the future: a lender’s perspective on managing tech debt”.
He’ll draw on his experience scaling a regulated credit card business.
Steve Martin, VP Engineering at Monzo, will deliver a keynote on Day 2. Steve has built and delivered intelligent products in multiple industries.
He’ll walk through a holistic example of how a product engineering organisation can make the transition to building intelligent products.
This starts with how to make problems accessible to ML optimisation, and extends through ways of working and technical implementation.
Jennie Woods, VP Engineering at Funding Circle, will explore how AI is changing product development.
A panel of leaders from Zopa Bank, Lloyds Banking Group, Metrifox and Vouchsafe will examine how teams validate AI-generated code without losing the trust of their risk functions.
Breakout sessions and networking
Alongside the main stage, the event includes peer-led breakout sessions and Coffee Corners for informal discussion on topics such as scaling teams and hiring. A Women in Tech Breakfast takes place on the morning of Day 1.

“Fintech engineering leaders are being asked to ship faster with AI while regulators, auditors and customers watch every move more closely than ever, and that’s a lonely tightrope to walk on your own,”
says Andy Skipper, Founder and Chief Coach at CTO Craft.
“Getting in a room with peers who are wrestling with exactly the same trade-offs is the quickest way to swap the theory for what’s actually working.”
The event takes place next week, and you have to be in the room to have these important conversations.
