Collaboration Between the Swiss and Chinese FinTech Ecosystems

The Zurich and Singapore based FinTech Incubator & Accelerator F10 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese Zheshang Venture Capital Company Ltd to create more opportunities for investment and Startup development within the F10 ecosystem at the “Zurich Lake – West Lake” forum for FinTech and Wealth Management.

The event brought highly ranked representatives of government, banking and FinTech as well as academia from Switzerland and China together to discuss economic and cultural exchanges.

F10 China-SwitzerlandThe goal of this MOU signed at the “Zurich Lake – West Lake” FinTech and Wealth Management Forum in December 2019 is the establishment of an exchange mechanism to create opportunities for investment and the development of Startups within the F10 ecosystem. The memorandum includes the exploration of global markets between Chinese venture capital companies and Swiss multinational companies in the canton of Zurich.

“With this memorandum, Switzerland has an excellent chance to further promote its FinTech, WealthTech and wealth management sector in China and drive innovation across industries”,

says F10 senior advisor and mentor Marc Lussy who hosted the roundtable.

“We are looking forward to establishing a collaboration framework that provides more opportunities for Chinese venture capital companies to cooperate with Swiss companies in the Zurich region”,

he continues. Marc has a strong foothold in China, is working closely with the Swiss government when it comes to FinTech and had worked as a trader as well as in wealth management for a decade.

With Susfinteq, F10 accelerated a high-potential Chinese FinTech Startup. Susfinteq had participated in the third batch of the P2 “Prototype to Product” program. This Startup Program is tailored for international teams with prototypes in FinTech, RegTech or InsurTech addressing challenges that the global finance industry is facing. Susfinteq founder Jason Jiang was one of the members of the roundtable at the “Zurich Lake – West Lake” FinTech and Wealth Management Forum and provided insights on Swiss-Chinese FinTech cooperation.
